Editorial policy
Southern Insight Hub aims to publish clear, careful writing about Southern places, histories and culture. We make the scope of each piece clear and revise it when a material error is found.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against suitable sources and take care not to present one town, community or experience as representative of the whole region. Where interpretations differ, we identify the distinction instead of flattening it into a single answer.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for reader value, not in exchange for payment or a partner's approval. Paid or partner-supported material is clearly labelled where it appears; a relationship does not guarantee coverage or a favourable description.
Corrections
Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review specific, actionable concerns and correct material errors, making the nature of a significant change clear in the relevant piece.
Images and illustrations
Images should support the subject without misleading readers about what they show. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when that is the case, they are identified as illustrations rather than documentary evidence.
